Sunday Naps Are The Best!

Good thing Braedyn wasn't tired.

INO Summer Picnic

Every year In-N-Out has a company picnic at Wild Rivers. It's a really fun time, especially for the kids...cookies, ice cream all you can eat, rides and the water park. Braedyn was so excited cause this year she was old enough and tall enough to ride the rides. I love this picture...her first time on the swings. No hesitation to ride and this joy on her face is priceless!

Then it was the rockets.

After that we headed over to the water park area. This year was extremely cold but that didn't stop these two. Nixon has been warming up to the water.
Braedyn was hesitant at first with the water slide but it only took one time down that slide and she was hooked.

We Believe...

At church the primary kids were challenged to memorize the Articles of Faith. There are 13 Articles of Faith http://scriptures.lds.org/en/a_of_f/1 and they are basically the foundation of our church and describe what we believe. The number of Articles of Faith the kids memorized would determine how many toppings they would get on their ice cream sundae and the Primary Ice Cream Party.

When I first heard about the challenge I thought it would be fun to try with Braedyn. Not having really high hopes for her we started with the first one. I would just repeat it to her and have her say it with me and didn't really think it would work until she spouted the whole thing to me one day, no help. I was pretty amazed. Apparently she has a knack for memorizing. Anyway, we got up to number 6. That means 6 toppings...she was really excited!
1. Mini Chocolate Chips
2. Mini Gummy Worms
3. Mini M&Ms
4. Gummy Bears
5. Oreo Cookies
6. Frosted Animal Crackers

I'm very proud of her. Even though the party is over we are still gonna shoot for all 13 so she can receive her candy necklace!

Nixon didn't memorize any but she was a great support. :) She got a scoop.

Family Shindig

My Grandparents (Mom's side) had a 60th anniversary party and all the relatives and anyone whose anyone was there. :) It was pretty cool all the grandchildren except 2 and all the great-grandchildren were there. My Grandma was in heaven!

Roxanne's Angels in this picture:

Me and my Nixie.
Me and my future sis-in-law Tyaan. She's already a pro poser! That's a must in our family.
Me and cousin Brandon being very discreet!
Then on Sunday we went to my Uncle and Aunt's for a cousins graduation party. They have all sorts of fun stuff for the kids. Goats, ponds, pool, tree swings...

Braedyn Hula Hoops

She getting pretty good!

Nixon says "Papa!"

Not sure why but whenever Nixon says "Papa" she says it with such gusto! It's pretty entertaining...actually hilarious.

Summer Dance Concert

We've been trying to keep busy this summer - fountains, water parks, beach - on the go all the time and it's still not enough for these girls. This day we went to The Shoppes at Chino Hills. They have a big rectangle of fountains that spray in the air and the kids like to run through them and play. We met a few friends there and Paige was there, a little bit older and a seasoned dancer. She does some crazy stuff for such a young girl. Anyway, it was so cute she was posing all the girls and choreographing a routine for them. All the younger girls were following away. Sara maybe Paige should start her own dance studio! It was great fun to watch.

Making Wishes

When I was little we used to find those white puffy things that float through the air and catch them. We called them "wishies", I still call them that. But if you caught one you made a wish and then let it go and if it floated away high into the sky your wish would come true. It's that time of year and the "wishies" are floating everywhere. Sometimes the girls and I go out and catch some to make some wishes.
