Howdy Pilgrim
Braedyn loves preschool, although a couple times she has hesitated to go she always has a smile on her face when I pick her up from school. They have been talking about Thanksgiving and Pilgrims and Indians. I picked her last week and she was dressed like this. So cute!
Police Department Tour
Our latest venture was to the Chino Hills Police Department. They were so kind to take our kiddos and us moms on a tour of their facilities. The kids had so much fun and Officer Webster, our tour guide, was awesome! We got official police star badge stickers before we entered.

Even Officer McGruff made a special appearance! The kids loved that.

We got to see the holding cells. All the kids in lockup! There was also a bathroom across from the booking desk covered by a half-wall which wasn't really covered at all. The Officer was explaining to the kids that you wouldn't want to go to the bathroom there, it's no fun, because everyone will be able to see you and Nixon says "yeah, poo-poos, see, no".

We walked through the offices/cubicles and saw the police work area. It was very quiet and pretty empty. Guess everyone was on patrol!

Then we went outside to see a police motorcycle and police car.
Trip to the Santa Ana Zoo
We took at trip to the Santa Ana Zoo this month. Inside tip: If you have a fastrack and show them you can buy one adult ticket, get one free. I like to call this zoo the "monkey zoo" lots and lots of silly little monkeys. We went during the week and it was so nice, there was no one there, we had the place to ourselves! The kids had a fun time and the moms got to sit and talk.

Dinosaurs!!!
Don't know if any of you have seen the new show on Nick Jr, "Dino Dan", but Braedyn is obsessed. He is a little boy who loves dinosaurs and imagines that he sees them anywhere and everywhere. Braedyn is learning so much from the show, sometimes TV is good! So in our search for activities for November we found this museum in Claremont that is free on Wednesdays. We took the kids to look at Dinosaur bones and artifacts and Braedyn was super excited.

Just a heads up...if you do decide to take your kids know this. Apparently the museum is on the grounds of a boarding school for high school students and you have to be "quiet" because kids are in class. It was fine for us but we had to keep "shushing" them. Other than that it was fine for free. Upstairs they have stuff to look at, no touching, and downstairs is pretty cool because its more hands-on and there is even a viewing window to see the kids in class, which we didn't get to see.

Chick-fil-a Tour
Most people that know me, know that I love Chick-fil-a (shh!) I know it goes against my husbands line of work (we love INO too) but it's more that cfl equals sanity and down time and an energy outlet for my kids that draws me in. They have good food, a play place and I get a couple minutes of quiet while we are there. So during November some of the older kids are off-track from school and we planned a few outings to keep them busy. To kick off our month of outings we set up a tour at the Chino Hills Chick-fil-a.
Nixon, Tucker, Braedyn and Delilah with their backstage passes, ready to see behind the scenes at cfl.

Ooooh brrrr....inside the walk-in-freezer.

Megan and William.

They let all the kids try on the drive-thru headset and listen to people ordering. They also got to go to the window and yell "Eat more chicken" to a customer! It doesn't get better than that right!
