L.A. County Fair

We went to the L.A. Fair last Friday with our friends the Roberts. The kids had a great time, intrigued by the lights and sounds and smells I'm sure. Nixon was mesmerized by the carnival section, clapping and swaying to the music in the stroller and Braedyn was hypnotized by everything too, "I want to go on that mommy", "I sure wish I could do that mommy". They loved looking and petting the animals although the stench was too much for me. There's something about hot, animal urine and hay that just doesn't mix.

But we got these cute pictures against this cute painted wall, the perfect photo spot!

Wishing....

So we were out running errands today and there was a water fountain where we were. I handed the girls each a penny and told them they could throw them in and make a wish. Nixon takes hers and stares at it decided whether to stick it in her mouth or not (she didn't). Braedyn takes hers and starts mummbling quietly (making her wish).
I laughed and asked her "What are you wishing for Braedyn?"
She promptly tells me, "A baby".
Oh wow...she has been obsessed with babies recently...a girl in our ward had twins (talking about Tawny), little girls, so cute, and ever since Braedyn saw them she was smitten. She tells me "I wish Nixon was smaller", "Nixon is going to get smaller like Riley's babies" on and on. So now she's wishing on pennies folks. Then she wants another and so I give her one and ask "What are you going to wish for this time?" She replies, "A doggie." So there you have it....a baby....a doggie...or both. Yeah right!

I love these Girls!

We've been trying to get in as much beach as we can before the summer is over. Braedyn loves to go in the water and Nixon loves the sand. The minute we get settle Nixon is looking for food going through my bag and Braedyn's begging me to go in no matter how cold. Crazy girls!

I Smell Trouble

This is what the girls were doing before church on Sunday. I can't wait to see what they will think of next. Maybe something a little less dangerous that doesn't include the possibility of hitting your head and rushing to emergency!

Disneyland Birthday!

I took Braedyn to Disneyland on her birthday. And I quote "This is the funnest day ever Mom!" I think she had a good time. We got there around 3 and stayed until about 9:30pm. We went on the rides she wanted, had ice cream at Gibson Girl (yummy!), went to the Tortilla Factory for our free tortilla's (they only gave her 3 in her package and then she wouldn't even share, Disneyland's going stingy on me) and we watched the Electrical Parade at California Adventure. Her favorite part was that everyone was saying Happy Birthday to her and to add icing to the cake, the characters in the parades would come up to her and say Happy Birthday and point at her and wave. She was so excited about that, it was cute to watch. It was a good day! Happy Birthday my little Sweet Pea!

Braedyn Turns 3

Round 3...We celebrated Braedyn's birthday once at the beach, then we went to Disneyland on her actually birthday and just recently we celebrated with Jason's side of the family. It's always great to get everyone together and the kids love playing with their cousins. Everyone was there except The Frumusanu's (missed you guys!). Something about living 400 miles away, whatever! Braedyn had so much fun!
